Description
A Labour Relations Manager position is available with a Montreal-based employer. The person hired will manage union and non-union employee relations, oversee the grievance process and lead collective agreement negotiations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Quebec labour law and proven experience in unionized environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve grievances, disputes and disciplinary matters
- Lead collective agreement negotiations and renewals
- Advise managers on labour relations matters and contract interpretation
- Conduct workplace investigations and prepare detailed reports
- Monitor labour legislation changes and ensure organizational compliance
- Develop and deliver training on employee relations best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations, law or human resources
- Minimum 7 years of experience in labour relations
- Proven experience in collective bargaining and grievance management
- Excellent knowledge of Quebec and Canadian labour legislation
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
