Description
A Financial Controller position is available with a company on Montreal’s South Shore. The person hired will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting and internal controls. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will ensure the accuracy of financial statements, manage the budgeting process and provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS) and tax regulations
- Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies
- Supervise the accounting team including accounts payable and receivable
- Coordinate the annual external audit process
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of ASPE or IFRS standards
- Bilingual French and English
