Description
A Maintenance Director position is available with a manufacturing company in Chateauguay. The selected candidate will lead the maintenance department, ensuring optimal equipment uptime, managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs and overseeing capital improvement projects. This role is critical to maintaining production continuity and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the preventive and predictive maintenance program
- Supervise and develop the maintenance team including mechanics and electricians
- Plan and execute equipment upgrades and capital projects
- Manage the maintenance budget and spare parts inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
- Implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience including 5 years in management
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance best practices
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance KPIs
- Strong leadership and team development skills
